  • At Hummingbird School of Dance, we specialise in the prestigious and internationally recognised Royal Academy of Dance Classical Ballet syllabus, as we believe it provides a solid foundation for your child’s future in both dance and other aspects of life.

  • We also offer classes in Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance Modern Theatre, as the two syllabi work in harmony to create well-rounded dancers.

All teachers at Hummingbird School of Dance have an Enhanced DBS and the school carries Employee and Public Liability Insurance.

The Hummingbird Ethos

Dance is a wonderful stepping-stone for children to explore, build confidence and develop whilst being surrounded by dancing friends.

For girls and boys to achieve their best, they need to learn in a calm and happy environment. Every class incorporates this idea, ensuring that each child can accomplish their own personal goals - whatever they may be.

Whilst dance is an extremely disciplined art, young children need to have the chance to express themselves. All of our lessons aim to find the delicate balance between hard work and fun.

Our classes include a range of teaching styles and strategies to accommodate each student's personal needs, providing the best opportunity for them to achieve. We whole-heartily support and encourage students and expect them to do the same with their peers. We challenge every student to do and be the best they can, and take great pride in watching them develop, flourish and grow into wonderful dancers and people.
